I was a missionary in the Friendly Islands. AKA Tonga. I brought home some ngatu or tapa cloth, made from the inner bark of the mulberry tree. I watched as Tongan women pounded the bark, then glued it together, then made dyes from hibiscus flowers and other natural ingredients. Then they painted traditional designs on the cloth using hand made paint brushes. It is an ancient craft of Polynesia. Centuries ago they made clothing from it, and used it for bedding as well. Today is a beautiful craft, and is given as gifts.
You can have your own star made from tapa cloth and glass. We can engrave the center of the star.
The center is glass with shells and sand in between two convex pieces of glass. Your star will come gift wrapped.
